Meet the Instructors

Kim.jpeg

Kim Carter/owner

Kim was born with a passion for horses and began riding at 7 years old. When she was young, she competed throughout her lessons in English and Jumping. She was fortunate enough to have her very own horse at 9 years of age.  She developed a love for children after a missions trip to an orphanage in Ecuador and then became involved with children’s church for many years afterward.  Her love for horses and children has continued and Kim considers every one of her students "her kids".

She has been teaching lessons since 2014 and and enjoys beginner riders. Her emphasis is on teaching each student balance and natural horsemanship and follows well known trainers such as, Clinton Anderson, Chris Cox, and John Lyons.  She also enjoys training and retraining horses. She believes that sometimes in life, all you need...is a little horse therapy.

David

David has been riding horses ever since he could walk and comes with a vast knowledge about horses, the care of horses and their behavior.  He thrives on teaching students the basics of horsemanship and explains things in an easy way for students to understand.  He has been instructing kids and adults with lessons since 2014. His emphasis is on safety and teaching safety around a horse.  David is definitely an asset to our barn.

Reagan

Reagan has been our assistant instructor for over 3 years. She was born with the love of horses and started riding at 5 years old. She started competing in hunter/jumper shows at a very young age and has an impressive show record. She is a wonderful instructor with a kind and gentle way about her and has a great understanding of horsemanship, horse physiology and psychology. She is gifted in explaining to beginners and advanced riders the mechanics of riding so all understand. We are blessed to have her here.
